Please note that with immediate effect, the hitting of balls from the area adjacent to the left-hand end of the driving range must cease. There is a Health and Safety issue arising from balls being regularly hit into the greens shed area, culminating yesterday in one of the Greens staff being hit on the leg as he was driving a vehicle into the greens shed. Luckily, this did not result in a serious injury.

The area to the left of the range has been fenced off and prohibition notices will be displayed.

The Member’s hitting area on the grass to the right-hand end of the driving range will be re-instated as soon as possible, which should mean that balls hit towards the target areas on the range will be in a direction facing away from the greens shed. This will help mitigate any recurrence of the incident.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Chair of Greens
